About Love Cut Silver & our Low Impact Commitment

I began making jewellery in 2020 lockdown. Having never engaged in any art before, and a year into my English Literature degree, I used jewellery making as a no-pressure creative outlet. I was totally self-taught for the first four years, before spending 9 months on a Goldsmithing course at Vanilla Ink Jewellery School in Glasgow.

The low impact nature of Love Cut Silver’s jewellery refers to the process by which the it is made. The sourcing of metal and stones, the elimination of chemicals throughout the making process, and packaging used, are all meticulously decided so as to leave as little trace as possible. The intention is to produce items of high quality jewellery while minimising environmental impact.

My brand's name speaks to the raw, organic nature of our creations, symbolising the love and dedication poured into every cut and detail. I use the traditional metalwork technique of pierce sawing to achieve intricate details. The Framed Tulip earrings exemplify the precision of handcut work. From rings personalised with words to delicate necklaces and statement rings, each piece embodies a deeply personal connection.

Since its inception, Love Cut Silver has garnered a devoted following, thanks to its bespoke craftsmanship and genuine connection with customers. My commitment to sustainability extends beyond my designs, as I shares her eco-friendly practices through intimate workshops. These sessions offer a hands-on experience, allowing participants to create their own personalised rings under my expert (if I do say so myself) guidance.

A bit of an old video with our old branding...but you can hear me talk about the brand.
