What to expect when you visit our West End studio…
Come and spend a couple of relaxed hours learning the basics of silversmithing or lost wax casting and creating your own sterling silver ring. It’s not about perfection or becoming a master jeweller, it’s about slowing down, getting hands-on, and leaving with something beautiful that you made yourself.
Choose from one of our two jewellery workshops.
Introduction to silversmithing where you start with a strip of 925 sterling silver to make a personalised ring and leave the session with the ring. I’ll guide you through each step, from shaping and soldering your silver to polishing it to a bright shine and making sure it is the perfect size.
Or discover the ancient tradition of lost wax casting where you’ll use tools to carve from wax a unique ring. Your ring mold will be sent away to be professionally cast before being returned to you via tracked post in 3-4 weeks time as a finished solid silver ring with a high shine.
Workshops are small and informal, so there’s plenty of space to ask questions and take your time. You’ll work with recycled 925 sterling silver or Ferris wax and use simple, low-impact techniques that are both creative and sustainable.
Whether you come on your own, with a friend, or as part of a private session, the atmosphere is calm, supportive, and focused on enjoying the process.
Workshops take place at the Love Cut Silver Studio in Finnieston, Glasgow. A relaxed, light-filled space designed for creativity and connection.
You can book a group class or a private one-to-one session depending on how you’d like to experience it.
It’s also a lovely idea for a gift — something meaningful and a little different.

Wax Carving Class
Join us for a relaxed wax carving workshop, perfect for winding down after work or trying something new. In this small-group class (max 6 people), you’ll design and carve your own unique wax ring using specialist tools, which will then be professionally cast in solid 925 sterling silver.
I’ll guide you through the process before giving you time to work on your piece in my informal, friendly studio. You’re welcome to BYOB, and you’ll be offered a complimentary glass of Prossecco, beer, or a soft drink on arrival.
Your finished silver ring will be cast, polished, and posted back to you within 3–4 weeks. £145 includes the full workshop, casting, finishing, and tracked return postage.
Please note workshop spaces are only transferable with 72hrs notice, or a refund of 50% is offered. If notice is less than 72hrs then rescheduling is up to availability and a 25% refund is offered.
Silversmithing Ring Class
You are warmly invited to come and make your own silver ring at Love Cut Silver Studio, Glasgow. Personalised with any words/letters/numbers, this is your chance to create a wonderfully unique wearable memory.
Starting with a 5mm width strip of recycled 925 sterling silver professional jeweller Constance will direct you through the steps of sizing, adding texture, personalising with various icon and letter options, soldering with a blowtorch and polishing.
Central to the process is a low impact commitment, so you’ll also get the chance to understand what environmentally conscious silversmithing is all about. From where materials are sourced to understanding how to eliminate chemicals in the process.
This class is ideal for absolute beginners or those with some jewellery making behind them.
